The World Peace Philharmonic Orchestra (WPPO) is a not-for-profit, international-festival touring symphony orchestra meeting several times a year. Delivering exceptional performances with a charitable aims-based concept, WPPO has a long-term commitment to share the message of true peace and harmony, providing musical, intellectual and spiritual enrichment whilst supporting meaningful humanitarian and environmental charitable causes through specific events and actions, which will allow WPPO and our audiences to act together in making positive change for the world.

We are classical musicians and we believe our unique profession can and should contribute to a better future. Our idea was born in early spring of 2022 – another sad year of growing international conflicts.

Being parents ourselves we know how the future of our children is the essence of our being and their happiness our biggest goal in life. Regrettably every 5th child is living in places torn by conflict and crisis. We can’t save all children from their unfortunate circumstances, but we can give future generations hope and a path to building a meaningful and peaceful future, filled with joy and valued beliefs – which is needed as we each begin to create or later adjust our beliefs and values in a conflicted world.

The World Peace Philharmonic Orchestra will provide talented young musicians from different corners of the world with an opportunity to make music side by side with musicians of different nationalities and cultures – ones they may even have been listening to on recordings and dreaming to meet. This collaboration will help them to develop new skills as musicians and also enrich them with core values such as tolerance, compassion and integrity in the process.

Music is the universal language – it can provide a path to unity. Regardless of people’s backgrounds, differences, and beliefs, music allows us to experience the present together in a unique way; it connects our feelings and inspires us to come closer to the meaning of life. Music unites without judgment. The biggest, most precious value of humanity is peace and when peace is disturbed we must find a way to restore it. Through music we can find peace again – one step at a time, one concert at a time.

Our mission is to elevate the arts beyond the level of politics or national interests, where we open minds, connect souls and bring people together in the pursuit of matters of higher importance and long-lasting meaning. We are one world, one unity, one orchestra – one organism bound by the most wonderful gift of all, life itself.

When the performance has an extra meaning, under the title that makes us truly feel and rethink some monumental values, it offers the chance to create a special energy and a will to make our world better. Nurtured by pure emotion, power of goodwill and the magic of music, the message will spread throughout the world in one or another way.

The World Peace Philharmonic Orchestra consists of musicians from all over the globe, where youth collaborates with world-renowned conductors, soloists and some of the greatest professional orchestral musicians. We are fortunate to have a former concertmaster of the Berlin Philharmonic Daniel Stabrawa among our advisors.

The orchestra aims to support the music education of young musicians suffering under difficult circumstances or devastating events, and to inspire and educate the youth in general, leading to creation of an orchestra academy for young musicians and educational programs for youth audiences.

The audience, both youth and adults, will enjoy specially-tailored appearances from guest speakers: activists and scientists in the form of an educational dialog or full conference.

We are all in need of inner peace, as much as a world without conflict. Living in harmony with the place of our habitat – our planet – is one step towards that. Pollution, food and water shortages are some of the issues creating suffering today and are directly affected by the decisions made by present generations.

We need to be aware and feel the responsibility for the present and future we are creating. We have an individual and collective power to influence the course of our lives in many ways. We should believe in it more!

Surrounded by conferences, guest speakers, education and music projects for youth, each chapter of the World Peace Philharmonic Orchestra’s world tours will spotlight one of the global humanitarian and environmental issues of today’s world.
